Art Education in the UAE
Art education has always been the basis for spreading the appreciation of culture among members of society. Building and having education systems that impact individuals on pursuing careers as artists rather than neglecting it as a profession will drive a change in our community. The session will open the discussion on the history of arts education, and how education has changed over the past years, and are the educational programs sufficient to commensurate with the growing art scene in the UAE? Do art students continue their practice art after graduating? How is art addressed in the government education sector? The session will also highlight community educational programs offered by art institutions with our guests who specialize in Arts Education.
Guest Speakers: Abdulraheem Salem, Alia Lootah, Asma Belhamar and Mona Al Khaja, moderated by May Rashed.
This session will be held in Arabic.
