This month’s Coffee With features Nahla Tabbaa.

Nahla Tabbaa is a Jordanian-Bangladeshi multidisciplinary artist. She earned her MA in Curatorial Practice from the Bath School of Art and Design, and her BFA in Sculpture from Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design. Tabbaa has experience and interests in art pedagogy, socially engaged practices, the culinary arts, energy healing, sculpture and casting. Her main scopes of institutional work are in community programming, education, exhibition making and urban research with Art Jameel, Frying Pan Adventures, Daftar Asfar and previously Sharjah Art Foundation.

Coffee With is a series of informal talks organized by Fikra that explores various topics  under an overarching yearly theme. The current theme, titled Re-discovering Tolerance Through Design and Play, is a sportive attempt to expand on ‘tolerance’ as a theme and its nuanced interpretation.
