In a time where the world is in flux — continuously evolving and impacting the way we live, communicate, and interact — we hold a responsibility as designers and citizens to address these changes from a perspective that is relevant to us — our needs, religion, and culture.
Fikra Campus fosters community engagement, cross-disciplinary exchange, and cultural production. It is a catalyst for design thinking and cultural production in the region. It is a physical and intellectual space that investigates culture and identity and speculates about technology and the future. It is a shared platform with cultural programs and creative collaborations that are contextually oriented yet globally relevant. It is a design studio, a co-working space, a café, a design library, and an experimental gallery.
Through the lens of design, we explore a variety of themes and advocate for the power and role that design can play to promote potential strategies related to specific topics within the yearly agenda. We believe in cross-pollination to spur innovation and encourage a cross-disciplinary approach that is inclusive of creative, artistic, and scientific disciplines. We conduct research-led-by-design and produce design-led-by-research.
We aim to enrich the dialogue across designers, creatives, and the general public so that new ways of understanding, new forms of exchange and an element of unplanned, serendipitous developments rise to the surface.
Fikra Campus is a catalyst that brings together cultures, visions, people, places, and practices.
Established in 2006, Fikra Design Studio is a multidisciplinary design practice that provides identities and creative solutions for bilingual (Arabic and English) clients.
We provide a wide range of design services including art direction, branding, publication design, web design, exhibition, signage, and interactive applications to name a few.
We create experiences and constructs narratives that are culturally and contextually relevant. The design process is meticulous, intelligent, and rigorous, and solutions are tailored, innovative, and contemporary.
We worked with a wide range of local and international clients in the UAE, Europe, and the USA. Our clients include startups, multinational organizations, art, and government institutions.
